Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data We May Collect

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • Email address
  • Usage Data
  • Social Media Information
  • Web Cookies

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

We allow You to create an account and log in using the following Third-party Social Media Services:

  • Google
  • GitHub

If You register through a Third-Party Social Media Service, We may collect Personal Data already associated with Your third-party account, such as Your name, email address, and profile information.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, keep You signed in, and remember Your choices. With Your consent, We also use optional cookies in three categories:

  • Preferences: remembering Your settings and choices, and enabling optional features such as Google one-tap sign-in.
  • Statistics: understanding how the platform is used, so We can monitor performance and improve usability.
  • Marketing: understanding how You found Us, delivering relevant content, and measuring the effectiveness of Our marketing. If You create an account, where You came from is saved with it.

Optional cookies are not used unless You accept them, and You can change that choice at any time. For details, please review our Cookie Policy.

Anti-Abuse Signals

To stop one person from signing up repeatedly to claim one-time benefits, We store identifiers in Your browser when You visit the sign-in or sign-up page and, together with the IP address the request comes from, use them at the moment an account is created to tell whether it is a repeat signup.

The specific characteristics of Your device never leave Your browser. We store only the technical values needed for that comparison. Those values are kept with Your account and are deleted when You delete it. They are not used to build a profile of You, to recognise You on other websites, or for analytics or advertising.

These signals are used solely to prevent abuse, on the basis of Our legitimate interests and therefore without asking for consent. They serve no other purpose.

Use of Your Personal Data

We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including monitoring usage.
  • To manage Your Account, enabling access to functionalities available to registered users.
  • To contact You with news, special offers, and general information about goods and services similar to those you have already used, unless You have opted out.
  • To manage Your requests submitted to Us.
  • For other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating the effectiveness of our services.

Uploaded Images and Generated Content

When You use features that require uploading an image or other media, the file may contain human faces or other personal information. These uploads are used solely to produce the AI-generated output You request, and may be transmitted to third-party AI model providers for processing (see Third-Party AI Processors below).

Your uploaded files and generated outputs are stored on our infrastructure as part of Your account history so that You can view, reuse, and manage them. They are retained for as long as Your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, unless You delete them. You may delete individual items from Your history, or request deletion of Your data, at any time (see Delete Your Personal Data). We do not use uploaded faces or biometric identifiers for facial recognition or identity profiling.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security or improve functionality, or when legally required to be retained longer.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data We have collected about You. You may update or delete Your information by signing in to Your Account and visiting account settings, or by contacting Us directly.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Deleting Your Account removes Your account record and the data attached to it — Your profile, sessions, orders, subscriptions, credits, API keys, AI task history, chats, and support tickets. Your uploaded files and generated outputs are also deleted from our file storage, not merely hidden. While You still have a paid subscription that has not ended — including one You have cancelled whose current billing period is still running — Your account cannot be deleted. It can be deleted once the subscription has expired or been ended, so that service You have paid for is not lost to a mistaken deletion or a compromised account. To end a subscription early, contact Us.

Some records that document a completed transaction (for example, a redeemed code) are kept for accounting and audit purposes, but Your email address is removed from them.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Content previously sent to third-party AI providers for processing is not linked to Your identity on their side and is short-lived (see Third-Party AI Processors).

What We Retain After Account Deletion

When You delete Your Account, We remove Your account data, but We keep one irreversibly hashed record of Your email address. We do not keep the address itself: it is converted with a one-way keyed hash that lets Us recognise the same address if it is used again, but cannot be turned back into Your email or used to contact You.

We do this to prevent abuse of the Service — specifically, deleting and re-creating an account to repeatedly claim one-time benefits. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); this is also why this record is not removed by a deletion request (GDPR Art. 17(3)).

This record has two effects:

  • In all cases, a new account created with the same email address (including its equivalent forms) will not receive one-time new-user benefits.
  • Only if Your account was banned at the time of deletion, the address is additionally blocked from registering again.

Deleting an account in good standing does not prevent You from signing up again.

We keep the hashed record for 24 months, after which it is deleted automatically; records associated with a banned account are kept for as long as the ban applies. If You believe a block is mistaken, contact us at support@vidocraft.com and We will review it.

Your Data Protection Rights

Subject to applicable law, You may request to:

  • Access or receive a copy of the personal data We hold about You.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete account information.
  • Delete eligible personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Where the law grants You the right to data portability, We will provide the account data You have given Us in a commonly used, machine-readable format on request.

All of these rights are exercised by contacting us — there is no self-service export in the product. To make a request, email support@vidocraft.com from the address associated with Your account.

How We handle requests. We respond within one month. Where a request is complex, or where We receive a large number of requests at once, We may extend this by up to two further months and will tell You within the first month if We do. To protect Your data against disclosure to the wrong person, We may ask You for information to confirm Your identity; the response period starts once We can verify who You are. Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive — in particular because it is repetitive — We may charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative cost, or decline to act on it, and will explain why.

Some information may need to be retained for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or other legal-compliance purposes.

Complaining to a supervisory authority. If You believe Our processing of Your personal data infringes data-protection law, You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in Your country. For residents of the European Economic Area, that is the authority where You habitually reside, where You work, or where the alleged infringement took place. You do not have to contact Us first, though We can usually resolve matters faster directly — if You have a concern, You are welcome to raise it with Us first.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to — and processed on — servers located outside Your state, province, or country, including by the third-party AI processors and infrastructure providers We use. Data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from those where You reside.

Where required, such transfers are made under a recognised transfer mechanism — typically the standard contractual clauses already incorporated into the data processing agreements of the providers We use, or an adequacy decision covering their location or certification — and not on the basis of Your consent.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16, or under the lower age set by national law where applicable (some European Economic Area member states set it as low as 13). Outside the European Economic Area, the applicable floor is 13. If You believe a child below the applicable age has provided Us with Personal Data, or if You are a parent or guardian who wishes to review, correct, or delete such data, please contact us at support@vidocraft.com, and We will take steps to delete such information promptly. Use of the Service additionally requires that You meet the minimum age stated in our Terms of Service.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data breaches. If a breach involving Your personal data occurs and is likely to result in a risk to Your rights and freedoms, We will notify the relevant supervisory authority within the period required by law (under the GDPR, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it where feasible). Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to You, We will also notify You directly without undue delay, describing what We know, what We are doing about it, and the steps You can take to reduce Your risk.

Third-Party AI Processors

To provide our AI-driven services, we collaborate with third-party AI model providers.

  • Data Shared: We only share the minimum necessary information for content generation, such as user-provided text prompts, uploaded images, and style preferences.
  • Data Minimization: We do not share sensitive personal identifiers (e.g., account ID, email address, real name) with third-party AI processors. All data transmitted for AI processing is de-identified where technically feasible.
  • Retention: Providers hold inputs and outputs only briefly — typically days — for generation and delivery, and We do not ask them to retain content for longer. Because what We send is not tied to Your identity, deleting Your account does not require a separate deletion request to them.

User Control and Choice

Where the Service lets You choose between different AI models or engines, selecting a specific model determines which third-party provider processes Your creative inputs — this is Your choice. If You prefer not to have Your data processed by a particular provider, You may select an alternative model or refrain from using features powered by that provider.

Content Restrictions

Our Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We prohibit the following types of content:

  • Illegal Content: Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities.
  • Harmful Content: Content inciting hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
  • Explicit Content: Pornographic, excessively violent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Content that infringes upon copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  • False or Misleading Content: Intentionally false, misleading, or deceptive content.
  • Privacy Violations: Content disclosing personal information without consent.
  • Harassment and Bullying: Content targeting individuals with intent to harass or threaten.
  • Spam and Malware: Spam, malware, or content intended to phish or scam users.

We reserve the right to remove any content violating these restrictions and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts.

Opting Out of Information Use

We respect your privacy and offer the following opt-out options:

  • Cookies and consent: Optional Cookies are only enabled with Your consent. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time via Manage Cookie Preferences in the site footer, and You can manage stored Cookies through Your browser settings. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
  • Account deletion: You can delete Your account Yourself under Account Settings → Security — no need to contact Us, provided You have no paid subscription that has not yet ended (see above). After deletion We retain only a hash of Your email address to prevent abuse; see "Delete Your Personal Data" above for the retention period and purpose.

Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, We process Your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service You request), legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service and prevent abuse), consent (where You have given it, e.g. for certain cookies or marketing — which You may withdraw at any time), and compliance with legal obligations.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. We may also communicate material updates through a notice on the Website. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
