Sandbox (test keys)
A free, fully-validated sandbox that mirrors the live request path.
Test keys exercise the full request path — authentication, parameter validation against the model schema, premium gating and credit pricing — so any request that works in the sandbox will be accepted by a live key.
Instead of dispatching to a provider, the API returns a self-contained sandbox task id (sbx_…). Polling it simulates the real lifecycle: queued for ~5 s, generating for ~30 s, then completed with placeholder media URLs.
Sandbox tasks also fire your callback_url (about 35 seconds after creation), so the full submit → webhook → confirm flow can be developed for free.
Sandbox tasks are not persisted: they never appear in your history, don't count toward concurrency limits, and don't show up in Settings → API Logs.
