Refund Policy

At VidoCraft, we strive to provide our users with the best experience possible. We understand that circumstances may change, and you might need to request a refund. Please read our refund policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Subscription Refunds

For first-time subscription purchases, you may request a refund within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the following conditions:

  • Usage limit: Your usage must not exceed 20% of the total credits granted by the subscription.
  • Refund calculation: The refund amount is calculated as (unused credits ÷ total credits) × amount paid × (1 − processing fee), where the processing fee is up to 6% of the refund amount (not of the original payment).
  • Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method in the original currency. Final amounts received may vary slightly due to exchange-rate fluctuations.

2. Subscription Renewal Refunds

For automatic subscription renewals, you may request a refund within 30 days of the renewal date, provided that:

  • Usage from the renewed billing period does not exceed 5% of the credits granted by that renewal (a small buffer for users who forget to cancel before being charged).
  • If eligible, a refund will be issued and the subscription cancelled immediately. The refund is calculated on the same proportional basis described in Section 1, with the processing fee of up to 6% applied to the refund amount.

3. Credit Package (Add-on) Refunds

For one-time credit package purchases, refunds are available within 30 days of purchase under the following terms:

  • Usage limit: Less than 50% of the purchased credits have been used. (We allow a higher threshold here than for subscriptions because credit packages are a top-up on top of your subscription credits — we want to lower the barrier to purchasing them.)
  • Refund basis: Only the unused portion of credits is refundable; used credits are non-refundable.
  • A processing fee of up to 6% will be deducted from the refund amount.

4. Plan Changes (Upgrades and Downgrades)

You can change your plan from the Billing page:

  • Upgrades usually take effect immediately, and the price difference for the rest of the current billing period is charged right away, with extra credits added in the same proportion. With some payment methods, an upgrade takes effect from the next billing period instead, and nothing extra is charged for the current one.
  • Downgrades take effect from the next billing period. Until then you keep your current plan and its credits. You can undo a scheduled downgrade from the Billing page before it takes effect.
  • Confirming a change: Some payment methods ask you to confirm the change on the payment provider's page. The change only takes effect once you have confirmed it.
  • Where plan changes aren't available: Some payment methods do not yet support in-system plan changes. In that case you can cancel auto-renewal and subscribe to a new plan once the current period ends, or request a refund under Section 1 or Section 2 and then subscribe to the new plan.

Refunds for upgrade charges: The price difference charged for an upgrade is treated as part of that billing period's subscription fee and is not refunded separately. It is reviewed together with that period's subscription charge under Section 1 or Section 2, and both the amount paid and the total credits used in the refund calculation include the upgrade charge and the credits it added.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Processing fees already incurred.
  • Used credits.
  • Subscription time that has already elapsed.
  • Requests submitted beyond the 30-day window.
  • Subscriptions where usage exceeds 20% of total credits.
  • Credit packages where usage exceeds 50% of purchased credits.
  • Renewals where usage from the new billing period exceeds the 5% buffer described in Section 2.
  • Credit packages purchased more than 30 days ago.

6. Fraud and Abuse

We reserve the right to deny refund requests and, where appropriate, suspend accounts in cases of suspected abuse, including but not limited to: repeated refund-then-repurchase cycles, chargeback abuse, use of the service in violation of our Terms of Service, or any pattern of activity intended to exploit this refund policy.

7. How to Request a Refund

If you meet the eligibility criteria, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us at support@vidocraft.com.
  2. Provide details: account email, order number, purchase date, and reason for the refund request.
  3. Submit within 30 days of your purchase or renewal date.

8. Processing Time

Once we receive your request, we will review it and notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days, though the actual time for funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution.

9. Disputes and Appeals

If you disagree with the outcome of a refund decision, you may reply to our support email within 14 days of the decision to request an appeal. Please include any additional context or evidence relevant to your case. Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original decision.

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider — most disputes can be resolved more quickly through direct support.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this refund policy at any time for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and we encourage you to review it periodically.

If you have any questions about this policy or your eligibility, please contact our support team at support@vidocraft.com.
